With the cooler months just around the corner here in Sydney, layers are slowly working their way back onto the streets.

DANIEL IN NEWTOWN

Daniel was spotted right in the heart of Newtown outside his hair salon Dirty Girl. Everything about Daniel from his tattoos and glam black style to his S&M-esque style salon is a great authentic expression of his creativity and personality. Plus he’s a really cool guy.

NICK WOOSTER'S MENSWEAR FORECAST

While in New York this past February, I had the opportunity to attend a dinner hosted by Neiman Marcus’ Nick Wooster and Ken Downing (thanks to the incredible Rich Tong). I was a bit fashion struck to be in the presence of Mr. Wooster and didn’t have the courage to ask for his photo but I did manage to capture his menswear forecast for winter 2011/12. Singlets and shorts are the common uniform here in Sydney and unfortunately worn pretty much everywhere. But when worn at the beach, it has to be said, it works.

As it’s getting cooler here in Sydney, I can’t help but get excited about unpacking my “winter” clothes. I was very inspired while in New York in February…adding cotton pants to my list.

Following yesterday’s post, bright bags seem to be ringing in the warmer weather on the streets of New York.

Bright coloured shades seemed to be the fun trend this past summer in Sydney. I’m curious to see if it makes its way to the northern hemisphere as spring slowly creeps up.

JOSE-LUIS IN MELBOURNE

Jose-Luis was spotted amongst the other street style photographers shooting at LMFF. I like how he played up on the different accessories (especially the biker gloves) with a simple, casual outfit. More seems to work sometimes.

A nice, simple outfit made interesting with bright blue cuffs. It’s all about the small details sometimes.

MAN IN THE RED KNIT TIE

I really enjoy the mix of patterns and fabrics here. From the square checkered shirt and red knit tie, to the yellow and blue floral handkerchief, it just seems to work for me.
